We are looking for a marketing strategist to help us develop a comprehensive Substack Strategic Growth and Content Plan to expand the reach of our storytelling, arts, and public health initiatives. Posi Pos Music focuses on HIV storytelling, poetry, and community engagement, and we want to transform our Substack into a sustainable hub for audience engagement, program promotion, and fundraising.
By the end of this project, we will have a clear implementation guide that helps us promote our workshops, consulting services, and fundraising needs while remaining focused on our core mission of healing and accountability.
The volunteer will work with us to create a 12-month strategy that includes:
• An audit of our current Substack presence with recommendations for optimization.
• A content calendar featuring recurring themes, categories, and a sustainable posting schedule.
• A growth strategy for subscriber acquisition and engaging existing readers (including consent-based outreach for previous contacts).
• A basic workflow recommendation for connecting Substack with our website and social media.
• Recommendations for 'low-spoon' tools or simple automations to manage the newsletter with limited administrative capacity.

Organization Mission

Positively Positive Education Productions (Posi Pos Music) is a Black-led arts and narrative change organization that uses creative expression to support youth leadership, civic engagement, and community storytelling. We serve primarily Black, immigrant, Indigenous, students of color, LGBTQ+, disabled, and working-class communities. Through spoken word, photography, and arts-based civic programming, we create trauma-informed, non-extractive spaces where young people can develop their voice, build confidence and leadership, and contribute to community-centered narratives and projects that promote belonging, equity, and social change.
