A practical recruitment plan to attract diverse, committed board candidates who reflect the Ashland/Hanover/Richmond community. The plan will define ideal candidate attributes, outreach channels, screening steps to reduce non‑committal members, role expectations, and a recommended selection timeline. Details will be refined with the volunteer.

A board that better reflects and commits to the local community will strengthen governance, trust, and outreach capacity. This will help Walk Towards Health more effectively deliver demonstrations and instruction that educate residents on lifestyle changes to prevent, treat, and reverse chronic conditions.

We will collaborate with the volunteer to share current board context, clarify priorities, and review existing materials. The organization is prepared to meet regularly during the engagement and to work with the volunteer to pilot and implement recommended steps.
