We need your help drafting our press release, working through approvals with partners like the American Museum of Natural History and the Bronx Children's Museum, creating an outreach list, and sending 2-3 rounds of outreach. If possible, we'd love additional support coordinating press tickets to performances, but can find internal capacity if needed. We have everything you need to succeed - copy, assets, strong partner relationships, and more.
At Flying Leap, we make and produce site-specific theater designed to tour to families who are excluded form arts and culture by geography, poverty, immigration status, language, and more. Our plays travel to families in their own neighborhoods, and connect them to arts and culture institutions who want to welcome them in, to build a sense of belonging for families who are often left out of the mainstream arts and culture ecosystem.

This fall, we are producing a major tour of "The Garden", a show for very young children designed to travel to public parks, courtyards, and botanical gardens. For the first time, we are taking this show to housing developments and children's museums across NYC, and with the volume of partners, the depth of impact, and this being our first major production since obtaining our official 501c3 status, we have our first big opportunity to put ourselves on the map and introduce ourselves to a wider audience of future donors, partners, and audience members so we can continue to grow and serve more marginalized kids.

This PR effort will raise visibility for The Garden tour, helping connect marginalized families to arts institutions, build belonging, and amplify our accessible, care-centered work so we can meet new audience members, donors, volunteers, and future partners. You will directly support audience growth, partnership development, and expanded opportunities for joyful, family-centered arts experiences for kids who are often left out of arts and culture.
Our five-person part-time team has established partner relationships and recently obtained 501(c)(3) status. Our Executive Director has a separate career in communications - we know what it takes to do great PR, and just don't have the capacity as such a small team. We have show details, partner contacts, logos, and some resources for list-building. We meet weekly, and can be be available for regular check-ins; our email marketer can manage a media inbox for replies. We also consider Care the core value of our organization, and one of our major points of pride is the quality of the work experience we offer. Every contracted worker we've hired has expressed a desire to work with us again – we care about hospitality, preparedness, kindness, and setting people up to succeed and thrive. You'll have a lovely time with us!
