Video Editor to Turn Event Footage into Social-Ready Content

FutureSouth Foundation is a 501(c)(3) building applied AI workforce development programs across the rural South. We recently hosted an AI Pitch Challenge with FutureSouth Academy, where students built and pitched their own AI tools — and we have raw photo and video footage from the event.

We're looking for a volunteer video editor to create compelling recap videos from this footage for LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. We can provide the raw files, our brand colors (navy and blue), and key messaging points — but we want a volunteer who can bring their own creative eye to the edit, not just execute a fixed script. We're open to your ideas on pacing, music, transitions, and how to structure the story, as long as the final videos are formatted for social (30–90 seconds, platform-ready aspect ratios).

This is a great fit for someone who enjoys short-form storytelling and wants creative latitude on a real project. We're hoping for ongoing support beyond this one project too, since we produce video content regularly.

These videos will showcase student projects from the AI Pitch Challenge and amplify FutureSouth's work to equip rural communities with AI skills and employer-connected opportunities. Volunteers will help us attract participants, employers, and supporters to grow AI education and workforce programs across the rural South.

We have the raw footage, photos, brand colors, and key messaging ready and will provide timely feedback and approvals. We will coordinate platform specs and review cycles with the volunteer.
