Graphic Designer for Outdoors Challenge Logo and Patch
The current logo successfully captures the overall concept. We're looking for a designer who can elevate it into a professional design that reflects our mission and works across digital, print, merchandise, and embroidered patches.
The volunteer will:
Refine and improve the existing AI-generated logo.
Enhance the typography, composition, balance, and overall visual quality.
Create an embroidery-friendly version suitable for a high-quality hiking patch.
Develop logo variations for different applications, including full color, one color, black, white, horizontal, stacked, and icon versions.
Prepare professional, production-ready artwork for future use.
Deliverables should include:
Adobe Illustrator (.AI) source files
SVG
EPS
Vector PDF
Transparent PNG files
JPG files
Outlined-font versions
Color specifications (HEX, RGB, CMYK, and Pantone if applicable)
Font information
A concise brand guide showing approved logo usage, spacing, colors, typography, and logo variations
This logo will become a long-term visual asset representing our nonprofit across websites, social media, printed materials, apparel, banners, promotional materials, and participant patches.
A strong visual identity will help us build recognition, recruit participants and volunteers, engage sponsors, support fundraising efforts, and create a lasting symbol that participants are proud to wear and share.
The completed logo will serve as a foundational branding asset for years to come, strengthening our outreach and helping more people discover the benefits of walking, parks, and hiking.

Examples of the design style we're seeking
Prompt communication and timely feedback throughout the project

The overall concept has already been established, allowing the volunteer to focus on refining and professionalizing the design rather than creating a logo from scratch.
