About the Opportunity

We're looking for a volunteer to help us save time and be more strategic with our social media presence, so we can more consistently let our community know about our services, showcase our impact, and show donors how their gifts are being stewarded. Specifically, you'll create a template for a one-month social posting calendar that we can reuse month to month across Facebook and Instagram. You'll draft copy for fifteen to twenty posts, split across three themes: service awareness (marriage counseling, housing assistance, emergency aid, financial literacy), community impact (testimonials, program outcomes, and event promotion including our Fairway for Families Charity Golf Tournament on September 21, 2026, a key fundraiser that helps sustain our programs), and donor stewardship (how funds are used and program milestones reached). You'll also make recommendations to customize our content for each platform, and we'll seek your input on tools to help automate our posting schedule. The final deliverable will be the calendar template you create, filled with fifteen to twenty posts ready to publish.

You're a great fit for us if you're passionate about our mission and you have a background in managing professional social media accounts.

Kingdom Family Ministry exists to help families in Montgomery County and North Harris County build stronger marriages and more stable homes. We do this through free marriage and premarital counseling, our Families First Housing Stability Match Program, emergency assistance for families in crisis, and financial literacy education. But many families in our community don't know these resources exist, and many donors don't get to see the full picture of how their generosity changes lives.

This project directly supports our mission by helping us close that gap. A strong, consistent social media presence means more struggling couples find their way to free counseling before a marriage reaches a breaking point. It means more families facing eviction learn about our housing program in time to get help. And it means our donors see, clearly and often, exactly how their gifts are keeping families together, whether that's a couple who saved their marriage through counseling or a family who avoided homelessness because of the Housing Stability Match Program.

By volunteering with us, you'll be helping tell the story of real families finding hope and stability. Your work won't just fill a calendar, it'll be the bridge between families in need and the help that's already available to them.

To prepare for the project, we will provide you with our events calendar (including the Fairway for Families Charity Golf Tournament and other upcoming programs), access to our existing social media accounts and past posts for reference, our brand colors, logo, and photos from past events and programs, and a list of hashtags we currently use. We can also share examples of similar mission-driven organizations in our sector for reference, along with key messaging around our four core programs: marriage and premarital counseling, the Families First Housing Initiative, emergency assistance, and financial literacy. We'll be available for a kickoff call to walk through our goals and answer any questions, and we'll stay accessible throughout the project for feedback and approvals
