Free Brands is a survivor-led nonprofit that creates entrepreneurship pathways for survivors of trafficking and gender-based violence, so they can build businesses and lasting economic freedom. Our founder is applying this September for a competitive social entrepreneurship fellowship that would directly support her leadership of Free Brands, and this is our strongest year yet to apply, with a launched program, real data, and original research behind us. We are looking for a volunteer with experience in fellowship or grant applications, or in compelling narrative writing, to help make this application as strong as it can be. We would love help pressure-testing our story, sharpening how we articulate our vision and impact, and making sure our strongest evidence comes through clearly. The deliverable is a significantly strengthened application, shaped through a few rounds of review and feedback before the deadline.
This fellowship would be transformative for Free Brands. It provides significant funding paid over more than a year, along with leadership development, wellness support, and access to expert resources, exactly the kind of backing that lets a solo founder stop stretching to survive and focus fully on building the organization. That stability flows directly into our programs, which move real dollars into survivor-led economies.
As the founder, I lead this work directly and will be your single point of contact. I will share our draft materials, our research and program data, and the fellowship’s prompts and criteria, so you have everything you need to give sharp, specific feedback. We are looking for someone who can help me tell this story in its most compelling, fundable form.
