About the Opportunity

We are looking to refresh a professional, welcoming, and emotionally engaging website for the newly established Callum Cares Foundation. We already own the domain, callumcaresfoundation.org, and a Wix page established. We have a team member with experience using Wix and who is comfortable maintaining the website once it is completed.

We are seeking a skilled volunteer to help us develop the overall website strategy, and design. We would like the volunteer to help translate our mission into a polished digital presence that clearly communicates who we are, the families we serve, and how people can support our work.

The website is newer, but includes
Home page
Our Mission / About Callum Cares
Who We Serve
How We Help
Stories or Impact
Get Involved / Ways to Support
Donate
Contact

We would especially value assistance with website structure and user experience, page layouts, mobile optimization, donation integration, and basic SEO.

Because this is a new foundation, we would also appreciate guidance on best practices for presenting our mission and impact in a way that is clear, trustworthy, and compelling to families, donors, and community partners.

Our goal is to have a strong foundational website that feels professional and established while remaining easy for our team to update and maintain independently in Wix after the project is completed.

Callum Cares already has an established brand foundation, including our organization name, a starter website on WIX and we are working on a logo, mission, and initial visual direction. We are not looking for the volunteer to develop a complete brand identity from scratch.

A professional, accessible website will be one of the most important tools Callum Cares Foundation has to connect with the families we hope to serve and the community members who can help us support them.
Children with disabilities often have significant equipment and technology needs that can become even more complicated as they transition into adulthood. When insurance or traditional funding sources do not cover those needs, families can be left facing difficult choices about equipment that may directly affect their loved one's independence, safety, mobility, and quality of life.

Our mission is to help bridge that gap. A strong website will allow families to easily understand who we are, what assistance we provide, and how to connect with us. It will also give donors, community partners, and supporters a clear understanding of the need we are addressing and the tangible difference their support can make.

For a new foundation, the website will essentially become our front door. It will help us build credibility, reach families who may not otherwise know that assistance is available, tell the stories of the people we serve, and create a trusted place for individuals who want to contribute to our mission.
The volunteer's work will therefore go far beyond a website. They will be helping us build the foundation for an organization whose goal is to make a meaningful difference in the everyday lives of children with disabilities as they enter adulthood. Their expertise will help us reach the families who need us and the people who can help us make that support possible.

We have already established the Callum Cares Foundation, secured our domain (callumcaresfoundation.org), and defined our core mission and the population we hope to serve. We have a clear understanding of the purpose of the organization and the need we are working to address.
Our team is comfortable with technology and has experience using Wix, so we are prepared to actively participate throughout the project and provide timely feedback, content, photos, and other materials needed by the volunteer. We have started the initial framework. We do not expect the volunteer to manage the project independently; we want this to be a collaborative process where we can learn from their expertise while contributing our knowledge of the foundation and the families we hope to support.
We have also identified the key information and functionality we want the website to communicate, including our mission, who we serve, how families can receive assistance, opportunities for donors and community members to get involved, and a simple way to accept donations.
Once the project is complete, our team will take responsibility for maintaining and updating the website in Wix, adding stories and impact information, keeping donation and contact information current, and continuing to develop the site as the foundation grows.
Our goal is to make the volunteer's time as productive as possible by coming prepared, communicating consistently, providing materials promptly, and being open to their professional recommendations. We see this project as the foundation of Callum Cares' public presence and are committed to putting the volunteer's work into use immediately.

Organization Mission

Callum Cares Foundation exists to help children with disabilities navigate the often-overlooked transition into adulthood. We provide financial assistance for specialized equipment and resources that can make everyday life safer, more accessible, and more independent—particularly when those critical needs fall outside the coverage of insurance and other support programs.
