About the Opportunity

Guided Loan Payment Prototype for Haiti
Project Summary
We are seeking a pro bono developer to build a simple, touchscreen-friendly prototype (web or mobile) that helps borrowers in rural Haiti easily submit loan repayments. The interface relies on QR code scanning, visual tapping of currency bills, and Haitian Creole voice guidance to ensure accessibility for users of all literacy levels.
Scope of Work & Deliverables
Screen 1: QR Code Scanner
Integrate device camera access to scan a borrower’s QR card and fetch a mock loan profile.
Screen 2: Visual & Audio Cash Entry
Build a clean grid displaying high-res images of Haitian Gourde bills (100, 250, 500, and 1,000 HTG).
Program each bill tap to calculate the running total and trigger a corresponding pre-recorded Haitian Creole .mp3 audio clip.
Include a "Clear" and "Submit" button with audio feedback.
Screen 3: Payment Confirmation & Mock API
Wire the "Submit" action to send a simple HTTP POST request (JSON payload) to a mock payment endpoint (simulating Digicel MonCash).
Display an animated "Payment Successful" confirmation screen, accompanied by success audio.

A single volunteer working from their desk can help outsmart 150 miles of highway extortion using tech that fits inside a lunchbox.
When people join or volunteer with HAND2triumph, they are often surprised to learn that solving multi-million-dollar infrastructure crises in Haiti doesn't require a massive Silicon Valley lab or millions in venture capital.
The Coffee-Table Innovation: The entire technical foundation of Project Digital Shield was designed and proven on a simple living room table using an $80 pocket setup—a power bank, a $40 travel router, and two smartphones.
Outsized Impact from Anywhere: A software developer, graphic designer, or grant writer collaborating with HAND2triumph from their home office in the US can write code, design Haitian Creole screens, or structure volunteer campaigns that directly protect market vendors and rural field agents (Ajan Kredi) on the ground in Cap-Haïtien.
Healthcare Heart, Tech Body: Unlike typical fintech startups built to maximize transaction fees, HAND2triumph was founded on 30 years of healthcare crisis-care experience. Joining HAND2triumph means applying the healthcare golden rule—first, protect human life—to off-grid solar and satellite engineering.
