About the Opportunity

Vamonos USA is a nonprofit organization connecting families with free community resources through our bilingual Vamonos mobile app and community events. As we grow our reach and expand our programs, we need to strengthen our ability to pursue grant funding consistently and efficiently.

We have identified grant opportunities that align with our mission, but our current grant materials are not yet organized into a comprehensive, reusable foundation. Each application requires us to recreate organizational information, program descriptions, community impact, and funding narratives, which makes the process time-consuming for our small team.

We are seeking a volunteer with grant-writing experience to help us create a strong master grant narrative and supporting grant-writing toolkit that can be adapted for future applications. The project will also include focused research of relevant funding opportunities and a simple system for organizing and tracking them.

The goal is to give Vamonos USA a practical, reusable foundation that will allow us to pursue more appropriate grant opportunities after the volunteer project is completed.

By the end of the project, the volunteer will create a reusable Grant Readiness & Writing Toolkit for Vamonos USA.

The primary deliverable will be a comprehensive Master Grant Narrative containing adaptable, professionally written language for key sections commonly required in grant applications, including organizational background, mission, community need, programs and services, target population, impact, partnerships, outcomes, and sustainability.

Supporting deliverables will include:
• A focused list of relevant grant opportunities aligned with Vamonos USA's mission and current programs, including basic eligibility, deadlines, funding priorities, and application requirements.
• A simple grant-tracking spreadsheet or system that organizes prospects, deadlines, requirements, status, and next steps.
• Guidance on how to adapt the Master Grant Narrative for future grant applications.

Success will mean that Vamonos USA has a professional, organized, reusable grant-writing foundation that can be adapted to multiple funding opportunities after the project ends.
