About the Opportunity

Face Friends Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Sugar Hill, Georgia dedicated to alleviating food insecurity and reducing health and educational disparities for youth, unemployed adults, and small business owners in the Gwinnett County corridor.

We have built a dedicated all-volunteer leadership team across five departments — Communications & Marketing, Strategic Partnerships & Fundraising Development, Operations & Technology, Grants, and Recruitment & Onboarding. Our volunteers are talented, credentialed professionals who believe in what we are building. What we have not done is formally assess their readiness to lead in a fully virtual, asynchronous nonprofit environment.

Managing a remote volunteer team without physical presence, without salary as a motivator, and without traditional management infrastructure is a distinct skill set most professionals have never been formally trained in. We do not yet know where each of our five department heads and volunteer leaders stands against those competencies — and we cannot build the right training until we do.

A comprehensive Volunteer Leadership Assessment evaluating each of our five department heads and volunteer leaders across four core competencies — virtual team management, asynchronous communication, project accountability, and mission alignment. The finished assessment identifies individual strengths, development gaps, and a personalized growth pathway for each leader, and becomes the baseline every future leadership review is measured against. This engagement is fully self-contained and can begin immediately.
