About the Opportunity

We are a small farmed animal sanctuary caring for neglected and abused farm animals and advocating for plant-based lifestyles and an end to factory farming. Because we are located near the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley, we want to break into that donor market but do not yet have a prioritized major-donor prospect list or a clear strategy for approaching Bay Area and Silicon Valley supporters. We need support to identify appropriate prospects and shape a focused approach for outreach and cultivation.

We are looking for a volunteer with Fundraising and Prospect Research expertise to develop a Bay Area/Silicon Valley–focused major donor approach. The volunteer will:
- Produce a concise written major donor strategy focused on engaging high-capacity individuals, family foundations, and regional funders in the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley, including recommended cultivation and stewardship tactics and a suggested outreach timeline.
- Compile the prospects into a clean, prioritized spreadsheet and advise on outreach strategies for major donors in this Area.
