We are transitioning from program development toward initial implementation and need to establish sponsorships & strategic partnerships to help provide the resources, materials, equipment, expertise & participant incentives necessary to support our child empowerment initiatives.
gep Magazine, our first child-based initiative, is a developing remote mentorship program that engages young people through challenges across 8 developmental territories, including personal well-being, creative expression, nature, community, culture & relationships.
Challenges may require materials, tools or equipment participants may not have, and access to these resources should not become a barrier to participation. Participants also earn tokens redeemable for prizes, creating opportunities for product & brand partnerships. We are exploring partnerships for resources such as instant-film cameras & film to support offline participation.
Plot Twist, our first community-based initiative, is a developing youth gardening program that will require partnerships across gardening, horticulture, STEM, growing supplies & related areas.
These are the beginning of a broader model through which gep plans to develop child- & community-based initiatives that create fun, rewarding opportunities for kids & teens to take meaningful action & build agency.
We need professional guidance on approaching & developing sponsors and in-kind/product partners while establishing a partnership network capable of supporting both our initial initiatives & future growth.
Review gep’s initiatives model, pilot programs design, Priority Resources List, website & developing social media platforms to provide the following:
1. Partner Network Value Proposition: Develop the core reasons a company would desire to join gep’s partner network before being presented with a specific partnership proposal.
Identify gep’s network-level value, such as staying connected to developing opportunities, consideration for aligned collaborations, appropriate partner-network recognition & periodic program or impact updates.
2. Partner Proposal Strategy: Develop strategies to increase the appeal of partnership opportunities based on the type of value a partner may provide:
* financial sponsorship
* program materials & participant resources
* token-system rewards
* larger strategic or regenerative infrastructure partnerships
3. Partner Benefit Strategy: Evaluate gep Magazine, Plot Twist & gep’s broader initiative model to identify credible benefits gep can offer partners beyond generic logo placement or social media recognition.
Identify gep’s potential value opportunities, such as impact reporting, association with specific developmental outcomes, first consideration for aligned opportunities, storytelling opportunities & aggregated pilot learnings.
4. Proposal Strategies for 3 Stages: Develop strategies for (1) inviting qualified companies to join gep’s partner network without an immediate ask, (2) stewarding network relationships toward appropriate partnership opportunities, and (3) presenting tailored proposals to both in-network & out-of-network companies.
