About the Opportunity

We are a small nonprofit with 20 employees planning to migrate files from our physical server to SharePoint within the next 12 weeks. We will perform the migration internally but are seeking an experienced SharePoint consultant to provide practical guidance, ideas, and time-saving "hacks" about what we already know and what we may have overlooked — especially around security configuration and back-end processes for SharePoint document libraries. We can follow online tutorials but want a real person to validate our approach and surface potential issues.

We are looking for a volunteer with SharePoint administration and information-architecture expertise to review our migration plan and provide practical, actionable guidance. The volunteer will:
- Deliver a written best-practices guide for SharePoint document management tailored to our planned server-to-SharePoint migration
- Provide concrete guidance and recommended approaches for setting up SharePoint sites and library structure to support our team's workflows
- Provide direction on security settings and back-end processes for SharePoint document libraries, including prioritized action items and common pitfalls to check during migration
