Strategic Advisory: Board Development Consultation

We want to recruit two solid Board members for our Development/Data Systems team. They will partner closely with our Development Director in strengthening donor operations, database management, and internal systems that support our fundraising and outreach efforts.

We have a JD already, but need help with developing an outreach strategy to find solid candidates who will commit to a 2-year term.

A practical recruitment strategy for two board members that our team can put into action. The volunteer will:

- review the role and our current recruitment approach
- identify the most important skills and qualifications needed for success
- recommend 3-5 candidate sources or outreach channels aligned to those skills

The final strategy will include target candidate profiles, four clear outreach tactics, and simple ways to track responses so we can refine our approach over time.

San Francisco Aid for Animals' mission is to make urgent, life-saving veterinary care affordable for families who are struggling to pay. Our organization provides local veterinarians with grants, enabling Bay Area residents to afford life-saving medical care for their animals.
