About the Opportunity

My nonprofit is Peace for Every Pet, and we plan to provide low- to no-cost in-home end-of-life services to pets and their families in the Kansas City area. We do not currently have a comprehensive budget/financial workbook that is ready for submission to grant applications, though we do have one that we created via Claude. Our team also needs clear, repeatable instruction so staff can update and reuse the workbook for future budgets. We are experts in many things, but not accounting!

The volunteer will deliver a comprehensive budget and financial workbook compatible with Google Sheets, formatted and organized for inclusion in grant applications, and will provide thorough written instructions on how to use and update the workbook for future budgeting cycles. We are looking for a volunteer with Nonprofit Accounting & Budgeting expertise to build the workbook and prepare the instructional materials.

Organization Mission

Peace for Every Pet was founded to provide low- to no-cost in-home end-of-life veterinary care to qualifying families in the greater Kansas City Missouri area. Specifically, we will provide fair market value appointments to families at 200% of the federal poverty line or higher to help fund low and no cost appointments to lower income families and their pets. We will partner with local animal welfare organizations to become a part of the network of support for lower income families. We believe all families deserve access to high-quality end-of-life care for their pets, regardless of geographic or financial obstacles.
