About the Opportunity

We want to raise awareness about how We Are Artistic creates space for all abilities in the weeks leading up to International Day of Disabilities. We need a media-ready announcement and a targeted list of show producers and reporters so we can distribute the message to outlets such as Lion's Lunch Hour, Fox 5, and other relevant local or regional reporters. We think it would be perfect pitch international day of disabilities.

The volunteer will draft a concise, media-ready press release for distribution in the weeks before International Day of Disabilities that clearly explains how we create space for all abilities, and will compile a prioritized media contact list targeting shows and reporters (examples: Lion's Lunch Hour, Fox 5, and other relevant local/regional reporters) including outlet/show name, contact name and role, and contact information. We are looking for a volunteer with Public Relations and Media Relations expertise to write the release and research the target media contacts.
