About the Opportunity

Survive & Conquer Foundation Inc. is an Atlanta-based, veteran-owned 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting trauma-impacted youth, young adults, families, veterans, and underserved communities.

We are seeking an experienced grant research and writing professional to help us identify funding opportunities aligned with our mission and programs. Our initiatives include mental health awareness, youth empowerment, community outreach, mentorship, and providing essential resources to individuals and families facing hardship.

The volunteer will work with our leadership team to identify potential Grantmakers, assess eligibility requirements, and strengthen our approach to institutional funding. This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to use their professional skills to help a growing nonprofit expand its reach and long-term sustainability.

Research and identify 15–20 relevant foundation, corporate, government, or other grant opportunities.

Create a grant opportunity tracker that includes funder names, funding amounts where available, eligibility requirements, deadlines, and application links.

Prioritize opportunities based on organizational eligibility, mission alignment, and funding potential.

Provide recommendations for approaching prospective funders.

Develop or improve a reusable grant proposal template, including organizational background, mission, programs, and impact statements.

Organization Mission

Our mission is to transform trauma into resilience. We live our mission by providing youth and young adults with healing, emotional development, life skills, and mentorship. These life skills break cycles of violence and build strong, stable futures. This is not just our mission—it’s a calling that emerged while our founder, Rasheem Artis, miraculously recovered from a near-fatal attack some years ago. We address mental health and trauma with compassion, awareness and effectiveness, and thereby reduce the stigma surrounding these issues as well. Here, everyone feels heard and valued.
