About the Opportunity

We are a small organization that is fiscally sponsored by a small nonprofit. Although our fiscal sponsor manages our finances, they do not have the capacity to track our revenue and expenses to the level of detail that we require (i.e. by grant). In addition, we are in the process of applying for our own 501(c)3 status, and will soon need to develop our own accounting and bookkeeping infrastructure in preparation of this transition.

As a result, we are looking to work with a probono professional to help us set up an accounting and financial tracking system that works for our small team. This system will need to be able to work in collaboration with our current fiscal sponsor, while also setting us up for success for when we transition to become our own independent 501(c)3.

By the end of the project, the consultant will have successfully helped us create accounting structures and infrastructure for financial management and tracking that meets our needs and staff capacity.
