The Head Cornerstone Foundation (THCF) is a California 501(c)(3) public charity focused on expanding access to safe, stable housing and supportive services for underserved individuals and families.
As a growing nonprofit, we need to build a consistent, scalable approach to fundraising and resource development. We want to identify and qualify relevant foundation grants, corporate giving programs, government funding opportunities, individual donors, and in-kind resource providers. Currently, we need a centralized system to prioritize prospects, track deadlines, manage outreach and follow-ups, and measure results.
We are seeking an experienced pro bono consultant to help us establish this infrastructure using practical, affordable tools and AI-enabled workflows where appropriate. The goal is to reduce manual work, strengthen our funding pipeline, and build the capacity to secure sustainable financial and in-kind resources for our charitable programs.
We are seeking a pro bono consultant with experience in nonprofit fundraising, grant research, business development, and pipeline management.
The consultant will help THCF create:
1. A prioritized prospect database of relevant foundations, corporate funders, government funding opportunities, individual giving programs, and in-kind resource providers.
2. A funding calendar and pipeline to track eligibility, deadlines, outreach, applications, follow-ups, awards, and reporting obligations.
3. A repeatable prospect-research and outreach process, including reusable templates for personalized communications and follow-ups.
4. Recommendations for affordable or free AI, CRM, and automation tools to support research, tracking, and outreach.
5. A simple dashboard to measure prospects researched, outreach completed, applications submitted, funding secured, and donated resources acquired.
6. A concise operating guide that enables THCF to maintain and improve the system after the engagement ends.
Success means THCF has a practical, organized, reusable fundraising system that can be operated by a small nonprofit team and expanded as capacity grows. We recognize that funding awards are not guaranteed; the project's purpose is to strengthen our ability to identify, pursue, and manage suitable opportunities.
The consultant should prioritize practical implementation and knowledge transfer so THCF can independently maintain the system after the project is complete.
