About the Opportunity

We are seeking support to address board recruitment. Our organization needs a structured approach to identify, engage, and secure high-quality, mission-aligned board members to strengthen governance and advance our work.

We are looking for a volunteer with Board Development and Recruiting expertise to create a practical, ready-to-use board recruitment toolkit. The volunteer will:

- Deliver a Board Recruitment Strategy: a clear roadmap identifying key stakeholder profiles, their potential requirements, and best practices for outreach and engagement.
- Deliver a Strategic Communication Sequence: a series of high-impact email templates — including initial outreach, follow-up, and formal invitation messages — that effectively articulate our mission and the value of board participation.
- Deliver an Engagement Framework: a streamlined guide on how to approach, contact, and cultivate prospective candidates to ensure a clear, compelling ask that aligns with the prospect’s interests and our organizational goals.

Organization Mission

P.I.E Pathways to Inspiration & Empowerment helps women heal, develop character, build leadership skills, become published authors, launch businesses, earn certifications, and create lasting community bonds and impact. We do this by walking them through a pathway to success after healing. Where most organizations end at stabilization, this is where P.I.E fills the gap and brings them into sustainability and the belief that what they have endured does not define them.
