Legacy Paws Rescue is looking for an events consultant to build a simple, repeatable system for planning memorable events and experiences, then hand it off to our team.
We're building a different kind of rescue, focused on prevention, education, and supporting both ends of the leash. We don't do boring. We've got a haunted trail in the works, seasonal dog portrait fundraisers, trail days with adoptable dogs, and a list of wild ideas that keeps growing. What we're missing is the structure to pull them off without everything landing on one person at the last minute. You'd be building the system that turns big ideas into events people can't stop talking about.
1. Signature event lineup. A yearly plan of our core events and experiences, with goals, timing, and who owns each one.
2. Event planning playbook. A step-by-step template covering timelines, budgets, permits, setup, supplies, and day-of checklists that works for any event.
3. Sponsor, vendor, and volunteer kit. Simple templates for inviting sponsors and vendors, plus volunteer role sheets and schedules for event day.
4. Post-event recap template. A quick way to track attendance, dollars raised, new connections, and what to do differently next time.
What "done" looks like
All four pieces built, handed off, and walked through with our team. Simple enough for a volunteer to run without a training manual.
Timeline: 6 to 8 weeks
Tools we use: Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive), Canva, Zeffy, and Facebook.
Who we're looking for
Someone experienced in event planning, community events, or nonprofit fundraising events who loves creative ideas and can still keep track of every detail.
If you believe the best events give people a reason to care and a story to tell, we'd love to build something meaningful with you.
