Our program team manages detailed, recurring workflows that involve teachers, families, students, itineraries, travel partners, enrollment records, and frequent communications. We are beginning to incorporate Microsoft 365 Copilot and want to identify practical ways it could save staff time and improve consistency while protecting sensitive information. We have already identified potential AI use cases with a volunteer who has data science and analytics experience, and we now need hands-on Microsoft 365 Copilot expertise to assess what Copilot can do in our Microsoft environment, what depends on licensing or configuration, and how to implement use cases responsibly.
We are looking for a volunteer with substantial, hands-on experience using Microsoft 365 Copilot in an organizational Microsoft 365 environment (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel) and familiarity with security, data governance, configuration, and staff training to work with our staff. The volunteer will:
- Review selected program-management workflows and produce a prioritized list of realistic Copilot use cases for those workflows, with for each use case: a short rationale, required licensing or configuration items, and key security/data-governance considerations.
- Design and help run one or two small remote pilots: deliver pilot plans, sample prompts/templates, test scripts or scenarios, simple success criteria, and a short report of pilot results and staff feedback.
- Produce a practical guidance document that compares Copilot Chat and Microsoft 365 Copilot, lists the features available to us given our Microsoft 365 context, and details recommended configuration, licensing actions, and security controls we should apply.
- Provide a short remote training/demo for program staff and an adoption checklist that summarizes recommended next steps, roles, and minimal governance safeguards. The volunteer should coordinate as needed with our IT support provider on environment-specific questions.
