About the Opportunity

Global Empowerment Network (GEN), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is seeking an experienced volunteer videographer and video editor in the Washington, DC/DMV area to help produce short, professional videos for our educational and community programs.

We need hands-on assistance with occasional in-person filming and video editing, rather than consulting or strategy development. Videos will be up to 10 minutes long, with many shorter clips for social media.

The ideal volunteer has practical experience with filming, modern video editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve, and creating engaging videos for social media.

GEN can provide an iPhone 17, microphones, basic filming equipment, and content guidance. Filming will take place in Washington, DC, while editing may be completed remotely.

Produce 3–5 finished videos for GEN, each up to 10 minutes long, including:

- Occasional in-person filming in Washington, DC.
- Professional editing, clear audio, captions, and simple graphics.
- GEN branding and formats suitable for YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Final, ready-to-publish video files.

We are looking for a volunteer who can independently handle filming and editing with minimal supervision. Scheduling will be flexible and coordinated in advance.
