Breaking Generational Poverty Foundation, Inc. (BGP) is a St. Louis-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to reducing generational poverty, preventing neighborhood violence, creating opportunities for youth, and supporting families impacted by tragedy.
Since our founding in December 2022, we have developed community programs focused on workforce development, educational scholarships, family stabilization, youth empowerment, and violence prevention.
As our organization continues to grow, we recognize the need to strengthen our internal infrastructure to support sustainable expansion.
Currently, many of our operational, strategic, fundraising, and program development responsibilities are managed directly by our Founder and Executive Director. While this hands-on leadership has helped establish our foundation and build valuable community partnerships, we are ready to transition toward a more structured organizational model with clearly defined roles, accountability, and implementation systems.
We are seeking an experienced nonprofit strategic planning professional who can assess our current organizational needs and help develop a practical roadmap for sustainable growth.
Our goal is to establish a stronger operational foundation, identify essential leadership and volunteer roles, improve delegation, and create a strategic plan that positions BGP for future funding, partnerships, and expanded community impact.
We have a clear mission, established programs, and a commitment to serving our community. We now need professional guidance to turn our organizational vision into a sustainable, actionable strategy.
Our guiding mission is simple: No More Weeping Families.
By the end of this project, we would like the pro bono consultant to deliver a practical organizational capacity-building and strategic growth plan that will help Breaking Generational Poverty Foundation, Inc. strengthen its infrastructure and prepare for sustainable expansion.
The project should include four key deliverables:
1. Organizational Assessment: A review of our current structure, programs, operational responsibilities, and capacity-building priorities.
2. Organizational Structure Recommendations: A proposed leadership and volunteer structure identifying essential roles, responsibilities, reporting relationships, and opportunities to delegate responsibilities currently managed by the Founder and Executive Director.
3. 12-Month Strategic Growth Roadmap: A practical plan outlining organizational priorities, measurable goals, timelines, and recommended steps to strengthen operations and prepare for future funding opportunities.
4. 90-Day Implementation Action Plan: A prioritized action plan identifying immediate next steps, responsible roles, and achievable milestones to begin putting the strategy into practice.
We would also appreciate a final consultation to review the recommendations, discuss implementation priorities, and identify areas where additional specialized volunteer support may be beneficial.
Success would mean having a clear, realistic organizational roadmap that allows BGP to operate more efficiently, distribute responsibilities, strengthen accountability, and build the infrastructure necessary to expand our impact.
We can provide information about our mission, current programs, organizational leadership, existing partnerships, and growth priorities to support the consultant's work.
