We need help refining our key marketing messages for GAAVANI’s India Tour 2025, honoring Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 350th Legacy. The goal is to create a short set of core messages we can consistently use across platforms—social media, website, press releases, and donor outreach. In this session, we’d like the volunteer to help us brainstorm message framing that appeals to different audiences: Sikh diaspora, interfaith/spiritual communities, women’s empowerment advocates, and cultural preservation supporters. We will come prepared with a short description of GAAVANI and our current messaging examples.

Organization Mission

GAAVANI is a female empowerment organization founded in 2022 that uplifts women through the power of Sikh spiritual music. Our focus is on amplifying female voices through Kirtan - a devotional and meditative music practice that is central to the Sikh faith. In just 3 years, GAAVANI has successfully hosted national events across California, Texas and New Jersey. We are now preparing for an ambitious international expansion: a 2-week tour across India this November featuring 31 female Sikh musicians performing in 9 historic cities. This is a first-of-its-kind initiative in the Sikh world and a chance to create history.
