Advice on hiring a Grant Writer

We need a volunteer to advise us on how to recruit and engage a grant writer to support our grant-seeking. Specifically, we want a clear, prioritized set of next steps for sourcing candidates, defining a concise scope of work and engagement model, and selecting and onboarding a qualified writer. This request is prompted by our need to build grant capacity to support San Francisco Firefighter and EMS Behavioral Health Foundation's emergency assistance work; we want to leave the call with an actionable plan and immediate tasks to find and contract a grant writer.

Organization Mission

San Francisco Firefighter and EMS Behavioral Health Foundation supports sworn SFFD firefighters and EMS members, active and retired, with emergency financial assistance to bridge the gap between a behavioral health crisis and long-term treatment.
