Canary Global Foundation (CGF) is a new U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to build a more connected and accessible ecosystem for scientific discovery. Our initial focus is astronomy and space science, bringing together advanced research infrastructure, AI-enabled technologies, international scientific collaborations, and educational opportunities.
We have experienced scientific leadership, access to advanced robotic telescopes in the Canary Islands, and growing research partnerships. Our challenge is translating these assets and our ambitious scientific vision into a sustainable organization capable of attracting philanthropic and institutional support.
We are seeking an experienced nonprofit strategy or business development professional to help us identify where to focus our limited organizational resources.
During this one-hour consultation, we would like to discuss:
1. How to position CGF effectively for potential donors and strategic partners.
2. Which organizational development and funding priorities we should address first.
3. How to structure two or three focused pro bono projects that build on one another.
Our desired outcome is a preliminary roadmap identifying the highest-priority next steps, the expertise required, and the scope of potential follow-on projects.
We would particularly welcome someone with experience helping early-stage nonprofits develop sustainable funding strategies and communicate their value to supporters.
