Anjali and April’s story

celebrating Taproot's pro bono consultants
Mar 4th, 2011 Service Area: Marketing, Volunteer Consulting

On February 16, the Taproot New York office held its first pro bono consultant appreciation event of the year. We invited our amazing PBCs to share their stories of how they MAKE IT MATTER, and now we’d like to share them with you.

April, a graphic designer, and Anjali, a marketing director, met while creating a fundraising brochure for HERE Art Center back in 2006. Fast forward more than four years later, and the two ladies are still using their business skills to make a difference in the community. Though they are no longer on the same project, the friendships founded through that early meaningful pro bono engagement continues to endure.

“It was a great experience because we got to help this organization, and we made friends in the process,” Anjali says.

Check out how Taproot projects help amazing pro bono consultants build valuable personal and professional relationships in our People of Pro Bono blog series.
