A Fond Farewell to Taproot CEO Lindsay Gruber

This week, Taproot will bid a fond farewell to CEO Lindsay Gruber. As we announced in February, Lindsay has decided to step down from her role after 6 years as CEO and a total of 20 years with Taproot. Under her leadership, Taproot has grown to deliver more than $300 million worth of skilled volunteer service to social good organizations.

“Taproot and its mission are in great hands, and it’s time for me personally to take a pause and then start a new chapter,” Lindsay shared. “I could not be more proud and appreciative of the passionate dedication to our mission, to our communities, and to each other that every one of our Roots–both current and past–has contributed to get Taproot to this point.”

Lindsay’s tenure with Taproot has seen the organization grow from a scrappy nonprofit startup in San Francisco to become an international leader in the skilled volunteering sector. Her dedication and thoughtful leadership as CEO have been instrumental in steering the organization through a dynamic and meaningful chapter. We are grateful that Lindsay will continue to serve Taproot as a newly-elected member of the Emeritus Board.

We wish her all the best in her new endeavors and, as we often say, once a Root, always a Root!

Taproot has partnered with award-winning executive search firm DRG Talent Consulting Group to help identify our next CEO. Learn more about the position and how to apply.
