Celebrate Global Volunteer Month—Join the Movement

April is Global Volunteer Month, and we’re taking the opportunity to say thank you to the thousands of Taproot volunteers who use their skills for good. Every act of volunteerism—whether picking up a piece of litter or assisting a new neighbor—builds kinder, more interconnected communities. And when a volunteer uses their professional expertise to give back, that impact becomes supercharged.

Taproot is building a movement to ensure that nonprofits have the resources they need to thrive. Too many organizations are stretched thin, trying to solve big challenges with limited resources, but we know from experience that there are thousands of professionals who are willing and able to lend a hand.

Pro bono has the power to bridge the gap by connecting expertise to need. Skilled volunteers fortify organizations and allow them to tackle root causes and implement real solutions. For a nonprofit without a HR department, pro bono help can help support a team rooted in the community, while a marketing volunteer can increase a fundraiser’s reach to bring in new donors. There are thousands of ways that skilled volunteers can help an organizer take their impact to the next level.

This Global Volunteer Month, there’s never been a better time to join this movement whether you’re a volunteer, nonprofit, or company. Get involved by volunteering your skills, getting help with your organization’s challenge, or building a skills-based volunteer program for your employees.
