2024 will mark Lindsay Gruber’s 6th year as CEO and 20th year as a “Root” at the Taproot Foundation, and she has shared that it will also be her last as she plans to step down in June as Taproot’s President & CEO.
“The organization and its mission are in great hands, and it’s time for me personally to take a pause and then start a new chapter”, shared Gruber. “I could not be more proud and appreciative of the passionate dedication to our mission, to our communities and to each other that every one of our Roots – both current and past – has contributed to get Taproot to this point.
As we’ve always said at Taproot: once a Root, always a Root, which I have no doubt will certainly be the case for me. Being a part of supporting this organization’s incredible mission has quite literally defined my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I look forward to continuing to dig in over the next several months on our exciting work.”
Statement from Taproot’s Board of Directors: “Under Lindsay’s exceptional leadership, Taproot has grown to deliver over $150 million worth of critical pro bono services to the nonprofit sector over the past five years alone. She has made a huge, positive impact on the organization and her tenure has marked an incredibly dynamic and meaningful chapter for Taproot.
We have appointed a Board Transition Committee who will drive the process and provide updates, and we are grateful that Lindsay will continue to steward the organization and ensure a smooth leadership transition.”
