We’re entering this season of giving thanks especially full of gratitude. Despite navigating a pandemic and so much more, volunteer participation in our pro bono programs at Taproot Foundation has never been higher. This show of support speaks to our volunteer community’s generosity and empathy, and demonstrates why each and every member of that community was a clear shoe-in for Multiplying Good’s 2020 One in a Million Award. Their prize committee put it perfectly: “The Taproot community is truly built and fueled by kindness.”
The Taproot team wanted to share our own thanks in celebration of the work you all do to make it matter:
Giving thanks for those who give back

“Working with our pro bono consultants is one of my favorite parts of the job. I’m constantly inspired by your excitement to donate your skills and expertise, and your dedication to our communities. We wouldn’t be able to do our work without your help—thank you for all that you do!” – Andrew Mahoney, Advisory Services Senior Associate Consultant
“Volunteers, it’s your generous contribution of time and expertise that drives us each and every day. Thank you for continuing to show up as the life force of Taproot and the pro bono movement, especially in 2020!”– Meredith Lorch, Product Manager
“A huge, huge thank you to our super pro bono consultants! Your dedication, generosity, and passion breathe life in Taproot’s programs. We’re so grateful for your work.” – Kevin Burg, Advisory Services Associate
“Thank you, volunteers. Your commitment—not only to your craft, but to your community—is endlessly inspiring. You wake up with your hands raised, ready to jump in when your skills are called for. And you “log back in” on weeknights and weekends, when many others are resting, to help nonprofit professionals across the country solve their trickiest challenges. That’s dedication. I hope you know just how much we appreciate you!” – Crystal Hendricks-Kretzer, Director, Marketing & Communications
From everyone at Taproot Foundation, thank you for making pro bono a priority even in the most difficult of times. Every one of our program successes is due to the dedication and hard work of our volunteers. We’re so grateful to have you in our corner and can’t wait to see what amazing pro bono you accomplish next!
