The challenge we would like to address is that Home Loans for Humanity has no logo or visual identity yet. We are a newly approved 501(c)(3) in Virginia that helps hardworking, low-income families buy their first home with a 0% interest mortgage and no down payment. Repaid loans are lent again to the next family. We are now launching our first fundraising campaign and reaching out to donors, faith communities, banks, and foundations. Without a professional logo, our donation page, flyers, social media, and documents look unfinished, which makes it harder to earn trust from funders and families. We have tried creating a logo ourselves with free design tools and AI sketches, but none captured what we want. We have a clear idea: a simple, bold mark that combines “0%” (what makes us different) with a child or family (the people we serve). One concept we like is a child inside the zero of “0%.” The feeling should be warm, hopeful, and trustworthy, focused on family and putting down roots rather than money. We need a skilled designer to turn this idea into a polished, professional logo.
By the end of this project, the consultant will deliver a finished logo and simple brand guide, including:- A primary logo with the name “Home Loans for Humanity”- An icon-only version without the name- A square or round version for social media profile pictures- Full-color, one-color (black), and white versions- Files in SVG, PNG with a transparent background, and PDF- A one-page brand guide listing our colors (with color codes) and recommended fontsThe logo should be simple and bold, recognizable at small sizes, and use no more than two colors. It must not resemble Habitat for Humanity’s logo and should avoid money symbols.Success means we have a professional logo we are proud to use on our donation page, flyers, social media, loan documents, and pitches to funders, helping us build trust and raise money for our first homes.

Working families across the U.S., from teachers and nurses to bus drivers and caregivers, are priced out of homeownership, often because of interest costs alone. Home Loans for Humanity changes that with zero-interest mortgages funded by the community. When families can put down roots, neighborhoods grow stronger: kids stay in the same schools, neighbors know each other, and the people who serve a community can afford to live in it. We’re starting in Virginia, one home, zero interest.
