We are seeking a skilled grant writer to help us write two high-impact capacity-building grant proposals that will strengthen the operational and financial sustainability of ReDefiners World Languages. These grants will support critical infrastructure and staffing investments.

ReDefiners World Languages is committed to advancing literacy, language acquisition, and upward mobility for K–5 students through culturally responsive programming and global language exposure. However, our ability to scale impact is directly tied to the strength of our internal infrastructure.

This project will:

Improve operational effectiveness, allowing our team to better support students, families, and staff

Strengthen data systems and security, ensuring we can responsibly manage growth and partnerships

Expand earned revenue streams, reducing reliance on unstable funding sources

Increase program capacity, enabling us to serve more students with high-quality, consistent programming

Enhance donor engagement, leading to more sustainable and diversified funding

Ultimately, securing these capacity-building resources will allow us to deepen our impact, reach more learners, and build a stronger foundation for long-term organizational growth.

We will ensure this project is well-scoped, collaborative, and efficient by providing:

- A clear project brief, including priority funding needs, organizational goals, and timelines
- Access to existing materials such as past grant proposals, budgets, program data, and impact metrics
- Defined target grant types and potential funders (where available), while also welcoming the volunteer’s expertise in prospect research
- A dedicated point of contact for timely communication, feedback, and decision-making
- Regular check-ins to align on progress, strategy, and deliverables

Our team is prepared to actively collaborate, provide rapid turnaround on inputs, and support the volunteer in producing competitive, compelling proposals.

Organization Mission

ReDefiners World Languages' mission is to promote social change, create equity in educational opportunities and to provide a competitive advantage to youth and adults. We achieve this mission through world language classes, programs and cultural enrichment opportunities. ReDefiners teaches Arabic, English, Mandarin and Spanish for adults and youth in a variety of contexts, providing summer programs, after-school classes, Saturday enrichment and evening classes.
