Google Ads Optimization

We’re seeking a skilled volunteer to help You Matter 2 optimize our Google Ad Grants account to strengthen visibility, engagement, and conversions across key areas of our organization.

The goal of this project is to create and refine Google Ads campaigns that effectively attract new volunteers, donors, and program participants, while also supporting the promotion of our Wear the Change apparel line, which helps raise funds and awareness for our youth programs.

Specifically, we’d like the volunteer to:

Review our current Google Ad Grants setup for compliance and performance opportunities.

Develop a clear campaign strategy for volunteer recruitment, donor acquisition, and program enrollment.

Create optimized ad copy, keywords, and conversion goals for each campaign.

Set up or refine tracking and reporting through Google Analytics and Tag Manager to measure impact.

Provide brief training or documentation to ensure our team can maintain and adjust campaigns after the project concludes.

This project will help us fully leverage the Google Ad Grant to amplify our mission of empowering South Suburban youth through leadership, service, and personal growth opportunities.

At You Matter 2, our mission is to foster leadership and personal growth in South Suburban youth by providing safe spaces, enrichment opportunities, and pathways to empowerment. Every week, middle and high school students participate in programs like IGNITE, Study Break on Us, and Teen Night—programs that help them learn, lead, and discover their potential.

This project will directly strengthen our ability to reach more young people and engage the broader community that supports them. By optimizing our Google Ad Grants account, the volunteer’s work will help:

Increase program enrollment so more students can access academic support, mentorship, and creative outlets.

Recruit new volunteers who make these programs possible.

Grow our donor base to sustain and expand free youth programming.

Boost apparel sales from our Wear the Change collection, which funds scholarships and enrichment opportunities.

Your expertise will help us connect with the right audiences—parents seeking safe and inspiring programs for their children, community members looking to give back, and supporters ready to invest in our mission. Together, we’ll turn digital engagement into real-world impact, empowering the next generation of leaders across Chicago’s South Suburbs.

To prepare, we have activated Google Ads for our website and secured a Google Ad Grant award. We are prepared to share the login credentials to our Google Workspace. In our first session together, we'll brief you on our marketing goals, as well as our mission, vision, and purpose. Your training of our team members on Google Ads best practices will help ensure the long-term successful implementation of the great work you share with us.
