Leaving the Jar, a nonprofit dedicated to fighting human trafficking through prevention and rehabilitation, is seeking a Salesforce expert advise and assist with implementing and configuring the free Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP).

Currently, application and intake processes are manual and scattered across spreadsheets. The volunteer will help set up a Salesforce instance that manages application intake, review, and tracking for our three core pillars:

1. Rehabilitation (US): Configure a secure intake process for the "Well of Hope Home" that protects sensitive HIPAA data.

2. Intervention (International): Build a system to receive student applications for scholarships in Egypt, review them for eligibility, and track grades for 256 students.

3. Prevention (Vocational): Track applicants and business launch rates for training programs in Kenya and Zambia.

Specific deliverables include:

- Core NPSP Setup: Configure the Salesforce environment, including custom fields and record types for "Survivors" vs. "Students."

- Build Intake Workflows: Create application and intake processes so data flows directly from our website/forms into Salesforce for review.

- Free Tool Optimization: Implement strictly using the free NPSP and free add-ons (such as the Program Management Module), ensuring a zero-cost, sustainable system.
This project provides immediate operational relief. Every hour spent manually processing applications is time taken away from serving people in need. By helping build and launch this system, volunteers will directly accelerate the ability to shelter trafficking survivors and grant scholarships to a students at risk.
We are ready to build, and we have a dedicated Project Lead (VP of Operations) who knows our workflows and will collaborate closely. We are fully committed to the Salesforce "Power of Us" program, and seek expertise to maximize the standard, free features.

Organization Mission

We empower vulnerable individuals and communities worldwide through education, advocacy, and direct support. Our all-volunteer team provides scholarships for underserved youth, anti-trafficking education and intervention, job training and employment support, mental health resources, and crisis assistance. Operating across multiple countries including Egypt, the United States, Kenya, and Zambia where vulnerable populations need support, we work to break cycles of poverty, protect survivors of trafficking and violence, and create pathways to opportunity for those often overlooked by traditional systems.
