As a small nonprofit, we have primarily relied on personal contributions and limited private support to carry out our humanitarian work. We are now seeking professional assistance to develop well-structured, compelling grant proposals that accurately communicate our mission, community needs, project goals, and expected outcomes. We need an experienced grant writer who can help translate our existing program information into professional funding requests. We can provide organizational background, project descriptions, available budgets, and other supporting documentation. This assignment is focused on grant proposal development, not grant prospect research, which is being addressed through a separate project.
By the end of this project, we would like the volunteer to help IMBY Africa develop:1. A professional organizational narrative describing our history, mission, humanitarian programs, and accomplishments.2. A compelling statement of need explaining the challenges our programs address and the communities we serve.3. Clear project objectives, measurable outcomes, and a practical framework for demonstrating results.4. Guidance on preparing project budgets and budget narratives using information supplied by IMBY Africa.5. Two professionally drafted grant applications or letters of inquiry tailored to selected funding opportunities.6. Reusable grant-writing language and templates that can be adapted for future applications.Success will mean IMBY Africa has two funder-ready applications or letters of inquiry, along with supporting materials that strengthen our long-term grant readiness. The volunteer will focus on writing, structuring, and refining these materials rather than conducting a broad search for funding opportunities.
