We are looking for a volunteer with accounting and tax expertise to help our organization navigate multi-state registration and filing requirements.The volunteer will:- Compile state-by-state guidance for the states we operate in, listing required registration steps, tax-exemption eligibility criteria, required paperwork and forms, filing deadlines, and links to official state agency resources.- Create step-by-step instructions and checklists for registering, applying for tax exemptions, and filing state tax returns, tailored to our organization.- Review our current financial recording approach and deliver a documented, improved financial recording workflow and templates or sample entries we can use going forward.
